The purpose of this position is to conduct research in the lab of Dr. Jacoby. The Postdoc will work on a project characterizing abnormalities in the nerves controlling the airways in asthma. This position will require knowledge of cell biology and animal models of disease. Responsibilities include: Participate in lab research Design and perform experiments on intergenerational transmission of asthma Expose lab animals to antigens, viruses, and other asthma relevant treatment Measure airway physiology Process lung tissues for histological analysis Perform quantitative histology and analyze results Perform and analyze relevant DNA methylation studies Use quantitative RT-PCR to measure gene
