About This Position
ChristianaCare is searching for a Perioperative Business Manager to work with department leadership to support fiscal operations of Perioperative Services. The Manager will provide financial reporting, analysis, statistical reports, development of the operating and capital budgets, contract management, financial project management, and other related activities. This role will also participate in the development of business and operating plans.
Some responsibilities include.....
Conduct planning and forecasting of all financial and budgetary matters based on activity/revenue indicators and departmental needs. Justify and defend the quarterly and annual budget submissions and reviews.
Manage capital planning process, and develop multi-year forecast of upcoming needs.
Provides relevant feedback regarding financial and statistical performance to departmental leadership, managers, departmental staff and support staff using available efficiency bench marking and cost containment information.
Performs analysis and reporting of the departments' operational budgets including identifying changes, forecasting volumes, revising action plans and advising and assisting in the revised goals to achieve a balanced budget.
Analyzes key metrics and partners with clinical leaders to identify performance improvement opportunities.
Reviews financial component of contractual arrangements with external agencies and provides recommendations regarding the terms.
Reviews billing and charge information and identifies patterns and opportunities. Partners with
Revenue Integrity to ensure compliance with billing practices and identify opportunities to improve revenue capture.
Conducts strategic periphery scans for perioperative business model trends/opportunities in the region/nationally and provides updates to operational leadership to inform decisions.
Conducts operational leadership financial planning learning needs assessments-across all leadership levels and provides direct education opportunities to grow department financial acumen.
Identifies and recommends opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost reduction and develops specific project plans.

Education and experience requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field required. MBA preferred.
Minimum of 3 years' experience with financial program planning, financial and productivity analysis, budgeting, and reporting systems.
Hospital/procedural area/operating room experience is preferred.
