This opportunity is full-time (35-40 hours) during second shift (3:30pm-11pm or 12am) with a Saturday rotation that is first shift (9am-5pm).
In this role, you will:
Perform a vital part of the patient care process through moderate and high complexity testing
Analyze, review, and report testing results
Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions
Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards
Champion safety, compliance, and quality control
All you need is:
Associate or Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology; or Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Biological, or Physical Science with 1 year of Medical Technology training
Clinical Rotation in the MLS or MLT program completed
Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent
Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms.
New MLS/MLT graduates encouraged to apply

This role will have routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI). Per the RIDOH and the RI Governor's recent announcement the new regulation under Rhode Island General Laws SS 23- 1-1 and 23-1-17 requires all healthcare workers to be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 by 10/1/2021.
