The Manager - Sample Management and Operations in Compound Management manages the Department of Chemical Biology and Therapeutics (CBT) Sample Management Operations, including the team who interacts extensively with the CBT Probe Discovery Centers, scientists from multiple labs and departments across the institution's campus and external collaborators.
This team of operational scientists (including Automation Technologists, Research Technologists and Compound Management Assistants) provides compound and sample management services.
Skills and experience in project management, process and infrastructure design, optimization, and implementation are utilized daily.
Minimum Education
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (chemistry preferred) is required. Master's preferred.
Minimum Experience
- 7 years of relevant experience is required.
- 3 years of compound (and/or sample) management supervisory experience required
- Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of activities related to many compound and/or sample management processes, with a practical understanding of, but not limited to, quality control methodology, logistics management and service oriented practices.
- Working knowledge of SharePoint, LIMS required.
- Working knowledge of Titian Mosaic, Artel MVS and Tecan EVO systems preferred
