Department of Chemical Biology and Therapeutics (CBT) at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an experienced organic/medicinal chemist to collaborate across the institution for structure-guided design and synthesis of DNA-binding molecules.
Over the past decade St Jude built one of the largest small molecule screening collections at any academic institution, containing over 800,000 carefully curated diverse and high purity compounds. Recent investment in the custom made next generation automated storage facilities and opening of this position reflect the long term commitment and importance given at St Jude to the quality of the compound production and research. This role will be expected to collaborate across the institution as well as make conceptual contributions to the ongoing CBT projects. The Senior Scientist will have deep understanding of modern small molecule drug design principles and chemical synthesis methods. This position will report to the Chair of CBT, Dr. Ansari.
