The blending of research with patient care is at the heart of everything we do. The institution is a comprehensive cancer center whose purposes are the treatment and control of cancer, the advancement of biomedical knowledge through laboratory and clinical research, and the training of scientists, physicians and other health care workers.
The Gene Editing and Screening (GES) Core Facility (https://www.mskcc.org/research-advantage/core-facilities/rnai-core) is recruiting a senior level scientist to provide high content cell-based screening (HCS) and small molecule high throughput screening (HTS) for researchers at MSKCC and outside clients. Arrayed small molecule and siRNA libraries, along with pooled functional genomics CRISPR-Cas9 and shRNA libraries, are offered for such screens. Core services include: assay development, performing large screens, data analysis, hit calling, confirmation and validation of hits, statistical calculations, dose response curves, drug and radiation synergies, synthetic lethality, and signaling pathway associations.
