ChristianaCare is searching for a Senior Business Intelligence Data Analyst to lead the data strategies of the Organizational Excellence (OE) Department, our system-wide performance improvement group.
The analyst will work collaboratively with the existing system data infrastructures and resources to develop reports that meet OE Department needs. In addition, the Analyst will deliver timely data that provides clarity and facilitates ongoing project and continuous improvement work. Additionally, provides dashboard-reporting and advanced analytical offerings.
The ideal candidate should be highly proficient in data warehouse tools and technologies and have strong decision-making skills, excellent analytical and consulting skills.
Duties to include:
Takes lead responsibility for meeting the data and information needs of the OE Department including Ad-hoc and planned SQL reports.
Has a strong passion for learning and applying new technologies to solve problems. Experience with Robotic Process Automation and software programming is a plus.
Plays a lead role in helping automate key business processes using business intelligence (BI) methods and software technologies to reduce waste and improve quality and accuracy of data. Design scalable and maintainable BI applications to meet the OE business objectives.
Extracts data and creates reports using SQL, SSIS from multiple databases and servers
Routinely recommends improvements in processes and procedures to ensure efficient consumption and application of data.
Design, direct and execute changes to existing models and create new data models for the OE Department in conjunction with Center for Strategic Information Management and data marts dependent on the Enterprise Data Schema and any required data staging.
Work with other team members and departments within the organization to implement performance related changes as needed.
Experience and knowledge with relevant data architecture deliverables (data models, data dictionary, source analysis, source to target maps design for reports, interfaces and functional dashboards or other outputs).
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, data management or engineering or other relevant education. Masters is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
Minimum of 7-10 years' experience.
Experience with RDBMS tools and working with clinical databases managing large volumes of data in a SAS and / or SQL Server environment.
Experience with data access requirements for client dashboard reporting, preferably with working knowledge of some dashboard reporting platforms, such as Tableau, PowerBI, ClickView, Business Objects or other tools.
Experience in working with Analysts in research, reporting and modeling environments that leverage tools, such as, R, Minitab, SAS or SPSS.
Extensive experience in the design and creation of conceptual, logical, and physical data models through use of a data modeling tools.
Familiarity with Data Warehouse life cycles and agile development methodology.
