The St. Louis VA Medical center is currently seeking three (3). highly qualified and motivated Pharmacy Technicians to perform in all areas of pharmacy including inpatient and outpatient settings. Duties include, but not limited to: Reads and interprets prescription orders; obtains proper medication or material in the proper strength and dosage form; determines proper amount and counts, pours, or measures the medications; affixes proper label; and records required data to appropriate system. After a final check by a pharmacist, dispenses medication in ambulatory care, mail order, or discharge situations. Fills unit-dose medications dispensed to inpatient areas (e.g. emergency med-carts, point of care machines) independently Maintains, verifies, stocks, and replaces outdates in patient car
