TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE I , Mechanical Engineering (MechE) , to work on a fast-paced, interdisciplinary, collaborative project developing the next generation of drug delivery systems in the Traverso Lab. Will design and prototype micro- to milli-scale devices using additive/subtractive/molding techniques; functionally characterize devices using wet-lab techniques (bacterial culture/quantification); summarize and document research results by writing standard operating procedures for the efficient development of successive device generations; present research findings at laboratory meetings; research and provide content for presentations and grant progress reports and fulfill internal request for information; conduct literature reviews to support above work, with the possibility of co-authoring manuscripts; and ensure safety standards and procedures are followed, prepare lab for inspections, and correct any problems. May assist with materials procurement and planning lab events. Job Requirements
