The Department of Drug Discovery and Biomedical Sciences (DDBS) at the College of Pharmacy, University of South Carolina (UofSC), is seeking a research technician to conduct research in Dr. Jun Zhu's laboratory on ongoing NIH-funded research projects to study the underlying mechanisms of HIV-1 infection associated neurocognitive disorders.
To perform research under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. The duties are to conduct cell culture and pharmacological assays to characterize the in vitro pharmacological profile of human monoamine transporters and mutant, and to test the compounds to identify optimized probe molecules using cell based expressing human DAT. To assist with ongoing experiments and maintain the instruments, lab safety, lab cleaning/organizing.
This is a fulltime grant funded temporary position for one year with insurance benefits.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in biomedical science. Previous experience with the respective expertise in research laboratory is desirable.
