PCOM School of Pharmacy (SOP) is currently seeking applications for a director of the Center for Drug Development and Innovation (CDDI). The CDDI is a translational research center focused on the commercialization and transfer of technologies in support of the mission and vision of PCOM. The new director will also hold a full-time 12-month tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The director will be responsible for overseeing the growth and advancement of the CDDI’s translational research programs. This position will provide leadership in facilitating clinically translational, cutting-edge research, and further development of the CDDI in collaboration with other faculty within the College’s Departments of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacy Practice, Biomedical Sciences and the PCOM Center for Chronic Disorders and Aging. The ideal candidate will be a scientific visionary with a record of independent extramural funding in a university or research institute, and/or possesses translational/clinical R&D experience within the pharmaceutical industry. The director will also be expected to contribute to the mission and goals of the academic department and SOP, and will work in cooperation with the chief research and science officer of PCOM and within existing policies, procedures and practices of the SOP and PCOM.
