The Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Michigan Medical School (Ann Arbor) seeks a highly motivated individual to work as a Research Laboratory Technician Associate in the laboratory of Dr. Cheong-Hee Chang. The research in this laboratory focuses on investigating the molecular and cellular mechanisms that govern the immune function. This position will study how iron regulates T cell function by investigating T cell receptor mediated signaling pathway, mitochondrial function, and cell metabolism. This job requires a good understanding of general biology, genetics and biochemistry. Bachelor's Degree and research experience in biological or biomedical sciences. Bachelor's Degree in microbiology, cell biology, or immunology. Experiences in studying T cell biology or any immunological studies that use immune cell isolation and flow cytometry are desired.
