Job Summary: The Maxwell Becton College of Arts and Sciences at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Florham Campus seeks a broadly-trained microbiologist whose research areas of interest might include microbial ecology, host-microbe interactions, and/or genomics. Familiarity with immunology and/or bioinformatics-based approaches to studying microbiology is a plus. The appointment is planned to begin January 2022. The successful candidate will participate in teaching our introductory biology sequence, courses related to their area of specialization, as well as teach upper-level courses in their area of specialty, including Microbiology. The successful candidate is also expected to maintain a record of scholarship and develop an active undergraduate research program. The candidate will also become Pre-Health Advisor for the department. Required Qualifications: Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Biology with an emphasis on Microbiology with postdoctoral research and teaching experience preferred.
