Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeking a Student Assistant for the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology department at Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, and/or the lab staff, the candidate assists with research activities in a laboratory studying the mechanism of selenium utilization in the model organism Danio rario.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
As directed, performs various research/technical operations relative to the ongoing investigatory activities of the lab.
Responsible for submitting purchase recommendations to supervisor.
Keeps detailed records of procedures and experiments.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Currently enrolled in undergraduate/graduate studies at Rutgers University.
Relevant research experience can be substituted for required degree.
Associate's Degree in a relevant science or working towards Bachelor's Degree; biomedical science.
Prior research experience..
Prior wet lab experience in developmental biology.
