Job OverviewThe Department of Biomedical Engineering invites applications from qualified candidates to fill one postdoctoral research position in the Biomedical Colloid Lab http://parkye.wixsite.com/ucyoonjeepark. The position is a full-time for a period of one year, but may be extended pending continued research funding.

Essential FunctionsOne postdoctoral position is available for research on development of drug delivery systems and examination of the drug delivery in vitro and in vivo. The research will involve colloid synthesis, polymer membrane fabrication, characterization, drug release kinetics analysis, gene expression quantification, and the efficacy test in vivo. The postdoctoral fellow will work on hypothesis testing, experimental design, data analysis, in vitro cell culture, and preclinical (animal experiments) tests, and will mentor graduate and undergraduate research assistants. Minimum RequirementsPh.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in biology, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, material science and engineering, or a related engineering or science discipline. Additional InformationPreference will be given to applicants with experience in drug delivery using liposomes, gene expression quantification and material synthesis. Part-time positions are also considered.
