(40%) Manage laboratory personnel Supervision of scientist(s), post doc(s), graduate student(s), and undergraduate student(s), who are primarily responsible for setting up and running immune assays, including human immune and canine immune experiments
(60%) Independent laboratory work Create data collection tools Gather and analyze data Design research studies/experiments Run all flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry for the laboratory, to include performing animal perfusion, harvesting tissues, preparing frozen and paraffin tissues, mounting slides and staining samples with appropriate antibodies Write/edit grants and manuscripts Keep detailed records of all experiments and procedures
Required Qualifications: * Master's Degree and 2 years of related research experience or BA/BS Degree with 4 years of related research experience * Experience in immunology
Preferred Qualifications: *Highly organized *Experience writing SOPs and creating presentations *Experience writing grants and manuscripts *Prior management experience *Prior work with animal models, human tissue, serum, and plasma samples *Experience with flow cytometry and immune assay development
