The Maxwell Becton College of Arts and Sciences at Fairleigh Dickinson University seeks a broadly trained biologist for an appointment to begin August 2021. The successful candidate will participate in the introductory biology sequence for majors as well as major and non-major courses in their area of expertise. The primary focus of the position will involve teaching (lecture and lab) and coordinating the laboratories for our freshman biology sequence, Biological Diversity and Molecules, Cells, and Genes. The candidate will be expected to collaborate and work alongside instructors of the lecture portion of the courses. Additionally, the successful candidate may have opportunities to teach courses in their area of expertise as needed.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Biology or a related area and teaching experience in cell and molecular biology preferred. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
