40% Recombinant protein expression of difficult-to-express protein kinases in eukaryotic cells. Protein engineering for spectroscopic probe incorporation.
40% Performing fluorescence and/or magnetic resonance spectroscopy on labeled kinases. Running drug discovery projects based on these spectroscopies to identify allosteric kinase inhibitors.
20% Training of other lab members in the preparation of labeled protein samples, spectroscopy and screening.
Required Qualifications:
PhD in biochemistry/molecular biology with experience in recombinant protein expression in insect cells and/or mammalian cells
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with biomolecular spectroscopy e.g. fluorescence, magnetic resonance etc.
