We are in search of a well-rounded team player that is interested in interfacing with a team of multidisciplinary collaborators (e.g. chemistry, neuroscience, pharmacology, immunology). Being creative, flexible, self-motivated, and able to problem solve are key skills in our lab.
Responsible for the performance of flow cytometry and sorting analysis including all aspects associated with performing these studies. Specific techniques include, but are not limited to, PBMC (peripheral blood mononuclear cell) isolation, fluorescent dye chemistry, and multiparameter flow cytometry or sorting (FACS). Assist with preparation of samples and conduction of analysis by sequencing. Coordinate clinical and pre-clinical specimen management. All associated project development, preparation, problem solving, data analysis, etc. Support the clinical work and preclinical work being performed in the lab. Ensure that components of projects are completed in an ethically, scientifically rigorous, and timely manner. Provide technical expertise to research lab staff regarding problem solving, experimental procedures, statistical analysis, and research project design.
Responsible for drafting or reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for internal use or destined for use at third parties (CMO, CRO, research laboratories, or industry partners). Review literature as suggested related to research projects. Select relevant facts, techniques, and procedures from the literature to advance research projects. Organize and work with outside collaborators on various projects as needed. Train other staff as appropriate.
Writing or reviewing confidential or non-confidential study reports (manuscripts, posters, etc.). Presentations of relevant data or scientific papers. Reviewing and/or drafting CDAs, SOWs, and other CPS-related legal and technical agreements. Help with IRB submission and maintenance. Follow project execution and ensure timely delivery of results. Aiding other lab members with in vivo or in vitro tasks as needed.

Bachelor's degree in the biological sciences (preferably in Immunology or similar) and 4 years of professional laboratory experience with training in Immunology or a related field, or combination of experience and education to equal 8 years.
Expertise in flow cytometry of antigen-specific B or T cells (or equivalent immune population, e.g., NK cells) is required.
Core expertise in the set up and operation of flow cytometers as well as the ability to analyze data with FlowJo or equivalent software. In addition, the candidate should be able to trouble shoot, assess quality, problem solve, and act in a timely, professional manner with general direction.
Computer proficiency with the MS-Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc) is required.
Master's in the biological sciences (preferably in Immunology or similar).
Experience in use of flow cytometry and sorting paired with sequencing strategies (e.g., B cell receptor) and isolation of monoclonal antibodies.
Experience in vaccine development, immunology, and previous experience in a CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) certified laboratory would be a bonus.
Other preferred skills include experience with IRBs (Institutional Review Boards) and working with human samples.
