Our client invests from early to late growth stage deep tech business worldwide, and has recently closed its maiden fund. With significant dry powder to deploy, they seek to bolster their team with a high-quality senior investment professional to lead transactions and add value across the deal process.
As a senior investor, you will be crucial to the fund's success. You will be responsible for leading transactions and managing the entire lifecycle of investments, from origination through to post-acquisition work. By taking board seats within the portfolio companies, you will assist with all parts of their strategic growth plans.
Focusing on next generation mobility, big data, AI, machine learning, life sciences, digital health and enterprise technology, you will leverage your technological expertise to help generate strong returns. You will also be involved in developing the broader investment themes for the fund and will have a hand in shaping the future of the venture activity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead key parts of the transaction process, including originating investment opportunities through your own network
Manage the entire lifecycle of investments and take board positions within portfolio companies to aid their strategic growth
Prepare written investment recommendations and perform extensive evaluation and due diligence to assess the strength of potential targets
Develop and maintain an understanding of the themes that are fundamental to the fund's investment thesis
YOUR PROFILE:
Stellar track record in an investment role at a relevant and comparable venture capital fund
Experienced in sourcing early- or late-stage deals across UK, Europe and globally
Board monitoring or representation experience
Clear track record of leadership, with demonstrable passion for technology and early-stage investing
Fluency in spoken and written English; another European language is advantageous
