This position is mainly focused on developing the genome editing tools based on CRISPR technologies through rational design and engineering of the effector proteins for further applications in disease treatment, metabolic engineering, and synthetic biology. Experience with molecular biology and cell biology, including mammalian cell and tissue culture, molecular cloning, strain engineering, evolution and screening, recombinant protein expression, purification and engineering, genome editing, nucleic acid in vitro biosynthesis, isolation, and detection is preferred.
