Position SummaryWe are seeking a talented research associate (post doctoral researcher) to lead studies in maize and sorghum genetics and phenomics. These projects seek to identify morphological and biochemical features to improve predictions of plant growth under different environmental conditions. The incumbent will be responsible for analyses of hyperspectral and LiDAR geospatial datasets, performing modeling and prediction based on genotype and phenotype, and integrating field-based phenotypic measurements. The successful candidate will work in the Addie Thompson lab at MSU's Department of Plant, Soil & Microbial Sciences. The position will be a one-year appointment renewable annually, contingent upon performance and availability of funding.
