Postdoctoral Fellowship Positions in the Walensky Laboratory, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute The Walensky laboratory focuses on the chemical biology of deregulated protein interactions in cancer, metabolism, and infectious diseases. Our goal is to develop and deploy an arsenal of new compounds to dissect and target pathologic protein interactions using multidisciplinary approaches that include (1) chemical and stapled peptide design, (2) rigorous biochemical, proteomic, and structural characterizations, (3) mechanistic validation in cells and mouse models, and ultimately (4) clinical translation. We emphasize mechanistic biology, including (1) canonical and non-canonical roles of BCL-2 family apoptotic proteins, (2) the p53 and RAS pathways, (3) high priority metabolic, bacterial and viral targets, and (4) novel helix-in-groove interactions relevant to protein structure, function, and drug development. See the Walensky group’s most recent publications for a sampling of the lab’s research projects and their multidisciplinary approach to scientific investigation. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/?term=walensky+l&sort=date We are currently seeking highly-accomplished PhD candidates/graduates applying for their first postdoctoral fellowship in chemical, cellular, or translational biology in the areas of cancer, metabolism, and infectious diseases. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in chemistry, structural biology, biochemistry, proteomics, molecular and cellular biology, and/or in vivo mouse models of disease. PhDÂ
