Seeking: The Department of Pediatrics is seeking an Associate Research Scientist to work within the division of Molecular Genetics. The incumbent will work in The Laboratory of Dr. Rudolph Leibel and will be responsible for but not limited to the following; -Designing and performing pharmacology studies in rodent models of diabetes and other diseases., -Lead in vitro assay development and optimization to support compound screening, and -Collaborate extensively with an interdisciplinary team to drive drug discovery and development programs. The project will be focused on reprogramming endocrine cells in the gastrointestinal tract. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the industry R&D process and make an impact on translating basic scientific discoveries into new therapies that address unmet medical needs.
