Position SummaryThe Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) invites applications for an interdisciplinary research associate, postdoctoral, position studying human decision making in on-line and off-line ecosystems. More specifically, we are seeking applicants to develop tools and systems that combine human and machine intelligence to novel ways, to solve problems that neither humans nor machines can solve as effectively The research associate will join a dynamic team of computer scientists at Michigan State University and report to Prof. Mohammad Ghassemi. The Researcher will design, organize and conduct highly specialized and advanced experiments using established scientific protocols and procedures and in some cases designing new protocols; summarize findings and publish results in research journals; assume general responsibility for scientific operations of the laboratory; provide supervision and guidance to junior technicians, students, and research. MSU is home to some of the world's leading computer scientist and includes a large number of faculty, postdocs, and grad students. MSU is located in the beautiful college town of East Lansing, a couple hours from the Chicago Metropolitan area. Appointment Type: The initial position is for 1 year, renewable yearly for up to 2 additional years based on performance and availability of funds. Required DegreeDoctorate -Computer Science Minimum RequirementsApplicants must have a PhD in Computer Science or related field with graduate or postdoctoral experience in software engineering and machine learning.
