JOBSUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of an assignedsupervisor, the Research Assistant supports experimental modeling of cancer incellular, engineered and xenograft models. This position contributes to theadvancement of specific projects at the direction of the principal investigator,maintains laboratory operations, and assists in training other laboratorypersonnel.
Performs experiments to include tissue culture-based experiments, molecular and cellular biology-based assays, and animal studies.
Makes common solutions, genotyping animals.
Performs standard molecular biology techniques and cell biology, mammalian tissue cultures.
Performs administrative functions to include organizing and presenting data, ordering reagents, meetings.
Maintains laboratory operation.
Assists in training other personnel and students in experimental procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
