Research Technician - Clinical Sciences - (20001506)
The Department of Clinical Sciences is responsible for providing didactic and clinical training of DVM students, conducting research pertaining to diseases of large and small animals, and providing health care services for large and small animals.
This job will be in a comparative cancer research laboratory with a focus on the molecular and genetic features of canine cancer. The primary role of this job is processing canine tissue samples for downstream applications (such as sequencing, western blotting, etc), mammalian cell culture and standard molecular techniques (quantitative PCR, western blotting). Strong applicants will have familiarity with basic statistics and computer-based data visualization (Microsoft office, Prism and R).
Bachelor's degree in science with up to 1 year of experience (research technician) or over 1 year of experience (senior research technician). Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Experience with statistical software (Prism, R) is preferred. Previous laboratory experience working with molecular biology techniques is preferred.
