The Deyssenroth lab is welcoming talented and motivated individuals with a bioinformatics background to apply for a Staff Associate position in our lab at the Department of Environmental Health Sciences. The successful applicant will lead projects designing and implementing computational workflows using NGS datasets generated from biospecimens in human perinatal research studies. We are seeking individuals with extensive experience in programming (specifically in R as well as Unix/Linux shell scripting), implementing genomic analytic pipelines (including processing of RNA-sequencing and SNP genotyping data), working in a high performance cluster environment, as well as generating and maintaining reproducible workflows with version control (preferable using git). Individuals with prior experience working in an epidemiologic setting are particularly encouraged to apply.
