A postdoctoral fellowposition is available in the laboratory of Professors S. Casey Laizure,Pharm.D. and Robert B. Parker, Pharm.D. within the Department of ClinicalPharmacy & Translational Science in the College of Pharmacy at the Universityof Tennessee Health Science Center. The successful applicant will be expectedto contribute to our NIH-funded studies on carboxylesterase drug metabolism,which include in vitro metabolic studies in human recombinant enzymes, animalstudies in a carboxylesterase drug metabolism mouse model, and humanpharmacokinetic studies. Highly motivated applicants with a strong backgroundin LC-MS/MS, drug metabolism, and pharmacokinetics are encouraged to apply.Previous experience with assay development and validation is a requirement tobe considered for this position.
The research environmentis excellent and includes availability of SCIEX 4500 and 5500 LC-MS/MS systemson the same floor as Dr. Laizure's laboratory, and animal research facilitiesand a clinical research unit on the University of Tennessee Health ScienceCenter campus.
