The Rockefeller University seeks a Research Assistant, Cellular Biophysics to join Cellular Biophysics. The Research Assistant will work on a variety of ongoing projects in the laboratory. Broadly, the laboratory is focused on the study of young adult cancers and biophysical studies. The former primarily involves understanding the pathogenesis of the disease and developing therapeutics, and the latter includes studies on the nuclear pore complex, HIV, and others. The Research Assistant will be trained on a variety of techniques, including molecular biology, cell culture, and advanced imaging. Responsibilities will also include various laboratory tasks.
Bachelor's degree in science required. Experience with wet- lab skills required. Must have experience with molecular biology. Must be driven by scientific curiosity with strong attention to detail. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills required.
