Serves as the technical supervisor for Nebraska Emerging Pathogens Diagnostic Acceleration Program (NEDAP) Laboratory to include setting work schedules, staff training, assay development, and trouble-shooting on-going testing. Assists the directors in the planning and implementation of laboratory operations related to biological and molecular testing; in budget and grant development; and in the assessment of laboratory needs and staffing. Manages quality assurance, including College of American Pathologists and Clinical laboratory Improvement Amendments (CAP/CLIA) regulatory duties, performance testing program, and electronic laboratory reporting validation.
