St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School is seeking a dynamic educator to assume the position of Middle School Science Teacher and Advisor beginning in late August 2020.
This position entails teaching four sections of sixth and/or seventh grade science and serving as an advisor. The sixth grade course is an earth science course with a major environmentally-focused interdisciplinary project in the second half of the year, and the seventh grade course is Life Science.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in a science-related field and experience teaching Middle School science. The ideal candidate is interested in working closely with adolescents and being a part of a warm and supportive school community. Successful teachers in our community tailor instruction to individuals' needs, evaluate student progress and provide feedback in a timely manner, promote individual growth and independent thought, and create a positive learning environment. There are ample coaching and extracurricular opportunities which enhance an applicant's portfolio.
