A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Ryan Langlois at the University of Minnesota to design novel influenza viruses for the study of immune responses. Research in the laboratory is focused on determining how cellular tropism dictates immunity and recovery from influenza virus infections through exploitation of host microRNAs. Additionally, the laboratory also uses novel reporter viruses to track infected cells in real time.
Required: M.D. or Ph.D. in a biological science
Preferred: Experience with mouse models of infection, flow cytometry and molecular cloning techniques
