Essential Functions: Wayne State University; Detroit, Michigan seeks qualified candidates for the faculty position to focus on Maternal-Fetal Infections Diseases. The successful candidate will develop a nationally recognized research program in this area.The individual chosen for this position will become part of a highly successful, fast-paced research group that focuses on clinical and basic research in perinatal medicine and related disciplines. The goal of this internationally recognized research is to develop novel diagnostic, therapeutic and preventative strategies to reduce adverse pregnancy outcome, infant mortality and handicap. The research agenda involves novel discovery technologies in functional genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and transcriptomics. The candidate will be expected to establish and maintain an energetic, productive research program; engage in interdisciplinary and collaborative research; teach undergraduate and graduate level courses; and advise undergraduate and graduate students. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Immunology and Infectious Diseases, Molecular Biology or related field is required.Rank commensurate with credentials.
