A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available for studyingmolecular mechanism of cardiovascular and renal diseases in the Department ofPhysiology, University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center. This position issponsored by NIH-funded projects. The incumbent will join a dynamic researchteam which stands in the forefront of cardiovascular and renal research. Thisposition may have opportunity for advancement and promotion based onaccomplishments of first 3 years. Thisposition is ideal for a highly motivated individual who would like to preparehimself/herself for an independent faculty position.
This Postdoctoral position will receive training in a widearray of epigenetic, molecular, biochemical, and integrative physiologicalmethods to investigate cardiovascular and renal functions and diseases. Current areas of research emphasis include 1)Molecular mechanism of hypertension, 2) Molecular and stem cell therapyfor cardiovascular and renal disease, and 3) Role of exosomes incardiovascular and renal diseases. Studies are conducted in genetically engineered rodent models.
