The Molecular Genomics Core (MGC) is looking for a highly motivated and energetic Laboratory Technician II to fill an immediate need within our services laboratory. The MGC is a data-production laboratory that offers a wide range of services from DNA / RNA isolation to large-scale Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data. The ideal candidate will be someone who either has experience with a wide range of molecular biology-related techniques and protocols, or someone who is interested in learning and has the capacity to quickly and thoroughly become proficient with new protocols to produce high-quality output. The candidate must also possess meticulous attention to detail, be organized, be able to keep accurate, precise and detailed records, and have a strong desire and capacity to learn the technical aspects of their work.
Project management skills, customer service skills and bioinformatics skills are pluses.
