Kentucky Country Day School (KCD) in Louisville, Kentucky, has an opening for a 7th grade science teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. The ideal candidate has a passion for and experience in teaching middle school students. Preferred teaching experiences include integrating life science and physical science curricula; using engineering design thinking to teach critical thinking skills in science; assessing student learning through a variety of methods, including project-based learning; and using online textbooks such as CK-12 FlexBooks. KCD’s 7th grade science curriculum has a concentration in life science, so a degree and/or experience in that area of science is preferred, as is a minimum of three years of teaching experience.
