Duties: -Fly husbandry: transfer flies to new vials, maintain strains -Collect females and perform crosses, as needed -Assist with PCR -Assist with western blot -Enter data in database -Ordering supplies, maintain supplies organized -Support PI and postdocs as needed: take pictures to document phenotypes -Help with other related tasks as needed: Prepare media for the flies, clean up after food prep, autoclave discarded vials

Required Qualifications: BA/BS or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in related Scientific field
Seeking a person with laboratory skills to support ongoing work. Experience in molecular biology (PCR, qPCR, cloning) and /or protein biochemistry (western blot) is desirable. This position will serve to support the laboratory PI and two other senior lab members in several tasks, including Drosophila husbandry, qPCR and western blot.
