The Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University invites applications for a tenure-track position (12-month appointment) at the rank of Assistant, Associate Professor, or Professor.
Duties will include teaching graduate students, medical students, and PhD students.
Performing independent fully funded research, publishing results, and engaging in other scholarly activity.
Supervising any direct report staff including administrative support and research support staff.

PhD in Biochemistry or a related field and have at least two years of postdoctoral training.
Documented experience teaching Biochemistry, Chemistry, or other related topics at all educational levels and to demographically diverse and student populations.
For an Assistant professor also must be developing a successful, externally funded research program.
For Associate Professor or Professor also must have an established, nationally-recognized research program, a demonstrated commitment to mentoring students, and demonstrated desire to advise and mentor junior faculty.
