The PicoForce Lab lead by Professor Riedo (https://www.picoforcelab.org/) at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Post Doctoral Researcher/Post Doctoral Associate/Research Scientist to join an exciting project on nanofabrication and nanomechanics of graphene and 2D materials.
New York University (NYU) is one of the top private universities in the United States, and the Tandon School of Engineering, located in Brooklyn, in a fast growing Engineering school with a focus on nanotechnology, biotechnology, urban engineering, and wireless technologies.
This project involves collaborations with different groups at NYU, CUNY, and Columbia University. Candidates will be responsible for performing state of the art research in thermal scanning probe lithography (t-SPL) with a NanoFrazor, training other users with the NanoFrazor, maintaining this instrument, and conducting nanomechanics experiments on graphene. The successful candidate will be driven, creative and team-oriented with a passion for developing biomaterials.
We are seeking individuals with a strong background in physics, engineering, and/or materials design, and/or related field. Experience with epitaxial graphene is a must. We welcome applicants from recent PhDs, and individuals seeking additional postdoctoral training. Eligible candidates will be required to present eligibility to work in the United States.
