The responsibilities of this position will include independently planning, designing and executing research experiments, as well as maintaining detailed records of experiments. It will require managing collaborations with other researchers within and outside the laboratory. Analyzing data and formulating subsequent experiments relating to the research projects. It will also require assisting the PI in developing and implementing research goals and maintaining and managing laboratory resources and equipment. Responsibilities also include up to date knowledge of NIH, NSF, OSHA safety rules and procedures, ensuring adherence to safety rules by laboratory personnel and overseeing research of junior lab members. Assisting PI and independently preparing data for manuscript and grant submissions, assisting with manuscript writing and grant writing, developing and editing lab procedures, preparing power point presentations and written reports for ongoing projects.

Required License/Registration/Certification :
MS degree in Plant Biology/Pathology. Knowledge of basic molecular biology, biochemistry and analytical techniques, and plant pathology techniques.
