The Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine seeks individuals to fill the following research associate positions. 1. Successful candidate will be responsible for studying cancer immunology related to monoclonal antibody-based immunotherapy in human specimens and animal model systems. The candidate selected will plan and carry out experiments, analyze data, prepare abstracts and manuscripts and present scientific data at local and national meetings. 2. Successful candidate will be responsible for studying the mechanism of resistance of antiangiogenic agents in head and neck cancer and studying the role of neurogulin/HER3 axis in mediating perineural invasion of head and neck cancer. The candidate selected will be responsible for all aspects of identified projects including flow cytometry, tissue culture, protein and DNA analytic assays, apoptosis and proliferative assays, various animal work and synthesis of manuscripts. All candidates must have a M.D. or PhD with sufficient postdoctoral training and related job experience to perform the required duties. Salary and benefits will be highly competitive.
