The School of Computational Sciences at Korea Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS) invites applicants for the positions at the level of postdoctoral research fellow. The School perform research in a broad range of fields where computational methods are necessary or appropriate: quantum information science, combinatorics, discrete mathematics, bioinformatics, artificial intelligence, and the theoretical/computational biophysics and material sciences (See http://www.kias.re.kr/sub03/sub03_03_01.jsp for details). Applicants are expected to have demonstrated exceptional research potential, including major contributions beyond or through the doctoral dissertation.
The annual salary starts from 50,500,000 Korean Won (approximately US$45,500 at current exchange rate). In addition, individual research funds of 10,000,000 Korean Won are available per year. The initial appointment for the position is for two years and is renewable once for up to two years, depending on research performance and the needs of the research program at KIAS (www.kias.re.kr).
