Impacting the change for tomorrow's leaders starts with the younger children today as they begin their journey through the Education system. Our Education Department, located at our Rindge, NH, campus, works with undergraduate and online students. We are looking for individuals to serve as part-time Clinical EducationSupervisors.
FPU provides certifications in Elementary Education, Secondary English, Life Science and Social Studies, and General Special Education. Clinical Education Supervisors will play an important role in assisting FPU to meet its goal in teacher education.
Under the supervision of the Director and Placement Coordinator, the Clinical Education Supervisor shall:
develop and maintain a professional working relationship among cooperating teachers, school administrators, school staff and teacher candidates,
make required observations per term of the teacher candidate as specified by the Program Coordinator,
evaluate teacher candidate using the program approved process,
confer with the teacher candidate and cooperating teacher on topics pertinent to the teacher candidate's performance,
assist the teacher candidate and cooperating teacher regarding problems that may arise during the clinical experience, and
assign and submit a grade for clinical experience.
Education and Qualifications:
Applicants must be:
credentialed or have certification in the content area, as a principal, CIA or Superintendent, or have equivalent experience in educator preparation.
as well as be an expert in the content area where the teacher candidate is being supervised,
a Master's degree, or higher, in Education or a related discipline, is preferred.
