Evaluate novel molecular targets for clinical applications using a wide variety of molecular and protein detection assays as part of Target Validation group. Job duties include the following:
Work in a cross-functional team focused on validating novel targets for T Cell immunotherapies; develop mRNA and protein detection assays for characterizing expression and localization of markers in cell lines and primary tissues; perform mammalian cell tissue culture including a wide diversity of tumor cell lines and human primary cells; engineer stably-expressing target cell lines and implement transient transfection methodologies; evaluate and implement CRISPR gene editing technologies to establish knock-out cell lines; design experimental plans, interpret scientific results, summarize and present data and report progress to the team; lead assay development towards use in clinical setting (LDT/CDx development); and provide critical lab support while working in a collaborative team environment, including mentoring and onboarding junior associates.
MS in pharmaceutical sciences, cell or molecular biology, or related discipline and 3 years of experience evaluating novel molecular targets for clinical applications using a wide variety of molecular and protein detection assays, including the following: mRNA (qRT-PCR, Nanostring, bDNA) and protein detection assays (western blot and FACS); mammalian cell culture; and culture of human T lymphocytes. We will also accept a BS and 5 years of experience in stated areas.
