Postdoctoral Research Associate - Animal Science Research Physiology
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
Â The Animal Science department in the college of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate for the Keating lab for Animal Science Research Physiology. This position is responsible for animal exposure experiments, phenotypic and biochemical data collection, and molecular analysis of RNA, DNA and protein. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will troubleshoot and facilitate experimental design. The position will keep detailed records, write and enforce standard operating procedures, and order laboratory supplies and animals for research. This position will need to be proficient in report and manuscript writing.
In addition this position is responsible for training graduate and undergraduate students.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
PhD obtained prior to appointment date.
Â Experience with animal handling, exposures and data collection.
Â Experience with molecular laboratory analysis.
Â Experience keeping detailed research records.
Â Experience training personnel and supervising graduate and undergraduate students.
Prior experience ordering animals and laboratory supplies
