The Department of Human Genetics in the Graduate School of Public Health at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a non-tenure-track full-time faculty position at the Research Assistant Professor level in Human Genetics to begin immediately. We seek an outstanding candidate whose research addresses the mechanisms underlying demyelinating neurological disorders. Appointment at the Research Assistant Professor level requires a doctoral degree with training in neurobiology, molecular biology and cell culture techniques and significant experience working experience with mouse models of demyelination and neurodegeneration. Appointees at this level will be expected to develop a vigorous research program and to participate in mentoring. Documentation of strong skills and potential in research and mentoring is required, The faculty member will be part of the large community of human geneticist and neurobiologists within the Department of Human Genetics and the University of Pittsburgh, with many opportunities for collaboration and interaction.
