Assist with the creation and publishing of Articulate Storyline, podcasts, or other voice-over-presentation tools and educational technology. Edit audio and video content and assist faculty with media authoring software. Design and develop assets including interactive learning objects. Provide expert advice on how to improve accessibility in courses and ensure that course materials are compliant with relevant legislation. Coordinate with faculty and staff in the selection, implementation and evaluation of appropriate instructional technology resources to improve instruction. Develop and conduct software application and system operation training for users. Use project management tools and a ticketing request system to track progress and completion of course design projects. Work collaboratively with faculty, staff and other members of the instructional design team to complete course design projects in a timely manner. Maintain HSEWI accounts for subscription-based instructional software tools such as Respondus, Examity, Articulate Storyline, Amazon Web Services, MailChimp, Calendly). Grant access and manage permission levels of individual users.Maintain all instructional design equipment purchased for the HSEWI division and make recommendations for upgrades as needed. Use graphic design software and eLearning tools to develop, deliver and maintain web-based and on-ground training materials for HSEWI faculty and staff. Serve as liaison with ITS, Faculty Commons and BC eLearning to promote faculty awareness and use of available technical and instructional resources and support.Collaborate with HSEWI faculty and the eLearning Council to facilitate adoption of college-wide instructional initiatives. Keep current with research pertaining to online higher education, pedagogy, andragogy, and pertinent learning theories. Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in adult education, instructional technology, curriculum design, or related field.Any combination of relevant education and/or experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. Three years of online or hybrid course development or teaching experience at the college or university level. Demonstrated knowledge of developing materials using a universal design approach. Ability to lead complex, time-sensitive projects to successful completion. Effective communication skills and ability to work in a customer-service oriented position with diverse individuals and/or groups. Experience with at least one nationally-recognized process for quality assurance in online education and student learning Experience authoring in a learning management system, for example, Canvas, Blackboard, or Moodle. Experience with media authoring tools for screen recording, lecture capture, and presentations such as Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Articulate Storyline, etc. Experience with Windows and Macintosh hardware, operating systems and software
