The incumbent coordinates the graduate activities for the Cellular and Molecular Biosciences Program (CMB). Develops and administers graduate recruitment and admissions. Advises prospective and current graduate students for the PhD programs. Manages funds for student fees, tuition and stipend including hiring. Assists in development of financial policies and procedures including financial projections and budget management. Supports admission activities including applicant evaluation, invitation to interview and recruitment activities (including helping update website), offers for admission, submission of fellowship files, and communication with new recruits. Researches, compiles, summarizes and presents data to facilitate informed discussion of graduate issues. Exercises professional judgment in the interpretation and implementation of policies and procedures regarding all aspects of the graduate program. Works with Associate Dean and Director in development of objectives and goals, and recommendations for policies and procedures for the graduate program. Requires operational knowledge of University policies and procedures regarding degree requirements, unit policies, procedure and deadlines.
