Postdoctoral position in the Department of Physiology, Northwestern University

A CHDI-funded postdoctoral position is available in the Bevan Laboratory on Northwestern University’s Chicago campus to study mouse models of Huntington’s disease. The aim of the project is to determine how repeat expansions in exon 1 of the huntington gene affect the basal ganglia’s regulation of psychomotor function. Applicants should have a PhD in the life sciences, physics, or biomedical engineering, as well as research experience in neuroscience. Applications are particularly encouraged from scientists with published expertise in electrophysiology, modern circuit interrogation approaches, and/or mouse behavior. Extensive training and mentorship will be provided. Salary is commensurate with experience and the start date is negotiable. The position will remain open until filled.
